Climate skeptic Tony Heller has highlighted what he claims are misinformation campaigns by corporate media regarding climate change. Heller referenced a 2007 BBC article titled “Arctic summers ice-free ‘by 2013’” which warned readers of supposed threats based on “latest modeling studies.”

According to ZeroHedge, this unsubstantiated claim was designed to instill climate fears in the public to push through a radical anti-growth climate agenda across the Western world.
Contrary to these predictions, Heller reports that this year’s minimum Arctic sea ice extent was 26% larger than in 2012, based on his analysis of data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Heller compared data from September 16, 2012, and September 7, 2024, which he claims represent the annual low points for those years.Heller also noted in a separate post that some “experts” attribute both increases and decreases in polar ice extent to climate change. He cited a 2014 NOAA statement describing the “counterintuitive” record expansion of Antarctic winter sea ice on a warming planet as something scientists were still trying to fully understand. It’s important to note that while Heller’s analysis presents a specific comparison, the overall trend of Arctic sea ice decline continues according to scientific consensus. The National Snow and Ice Data Center reports that Arctic sea ice is declining by 12.5 percent per decade relative to the 1981-2010 average. Additionally, the 2024 Arctic sea ice minimum, while higher than 2012, was still the seventh-lowest in the satellite record.

He ha I love this true data! Thank you!
