While ignoramuses want to make this vaccination compulsory, a new large-scale study conducted by the Cleveland Clinic is shaking confidence in the annual flu vaccination campaign. More than 53,000 employees were examined, with a result that few people want to hear: vaccination did not protect. Quite the opposite, in fact.
It sounds like a bad joke, but it’s spelled out in black and white in a study by the prestigious Cleveland Clinic System (USA):
out of more than 53,000 employees examined , 82% of whom were vaccinated, no measurable protection from the flu vaccine was found in the 2024/25 season – and in cases of high viral activity, there was even an increased risk of infection .
Statistical result: vaccine effectiveness of -33%.
This means that vaccinated people contracted influenza more frequently than unvaccinated people once the flu season was well under way.
“The risk of contracting influenza was significantly higher in vaccinated people than in unvaccinated people when influenza activity was high”, states the original text (Hazard Ratio 1.33; 95% CI 1.07-1.64; p = 0.009).
Cumulative incidence – i.e. the number of infections over time – increased more rapidly in vaccinated people than in unvaccinated people.
And this is not a statistical subtlety, but an undeniable medical reality.
