Dr. Peter Kotlár, a Slovak physician and government commissioner, claims that all 34 analyzed batches of Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines contain dangerously high DNA levels, potentially turning recipients into genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
Dr. Peter Kotlár’s Claims of DNA Contamination
Dr. Peter Kotlár, a Slovak physician, Member of Parlament and government commissioner appointed to investigate Slovakia’s COVID-19 response made on March 11, 2025 a press conference, where Kotlár asserted that all 34 analyzed batches of Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines contain dangerously high levels of DNA. He suggests that this DNA could integrate into human nuclear DNA, potentially turning recipients into genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Kotlár believes the DNA levels in some cases exceeded mRNA levels, violating safety standards. He has escalated these findings to U.S. officials, including Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the FBI Director, and the Attorney General, as he means this is a global health crisis. Kotlár’s broader investigation also claims the entire COVID-19 pandemic was a “fabricated operation,” and he calls for a ban on mRNA vaccines due to their risks. He argues that the stability of DNA compared to the fragility of mRNA increases the risk of integration.
Supporting Research and Concerns from Other Scientists
Kotlár’s assertions align with concerns raised by other scientists and researchers regarding DNA contamination in mRNA vaccines and he himself cites 11 lab reports that confirm DNA contamination..
Dr. Kevin McKernan, a genomics expert, has reported detecting plasmid DNA in mRNA vaccines, with levels exceeding regulatory limits (up to 35 ng/dose, above the 10 ng/dose limit set by the FDA and WHO). His 2023 pre-print study identified the Simian Virus 40 (SV40) promoter sequence, a DNA fragment linked to cancer. McKernan suggests a theoretical risk of genomic integration, a cornerstone of Kotlár’s GMO claim. Kotlár also cites McKernan’s work as confirmation of DNA contamination.
Dr. Phillip Buckhaults, a molecular biologist at the University of South Carolina, testified in 2023 about finding 200 billion DNA fragments per Pfizer vial. He noted a theoretical risk of integration into stem cells that could disrupt tumor suppressor genes, aligning with Kotlár’s concerns about long-term risks.
Dr. Joseph Ladapo, Florida’s Surgeon General, has cited McKernan’s and Buckhaults’ work to argue that mRNA vaccines pose a “unique and elevated risk” due to DNA contamination and called for halting their use, echoing Kotlár’s demand for a ban.
Dr. James Royle, a UK colorectal cancer surgeon, has linked a rise in aggressive “turbo cancers” to mRNA vaccines, suggesting a connection to DNA-related mechanisms, which supports Kotlár’s warnings about cancer risks from DNA integration.
Sonia Elijah, an investigative journalist, has extensively covered mRNA vaccine contamination, highlighting plasmid DNA and SV40 sequences based on scientific studies and expert interviews. Her work revealed degraded mRNA and high contamination levels in Pfizer vials based on leaked EMA documents, suggesting quality control issues. She has presented McKernan’s findings on SV40 contamination and noted Buckhaults’ lab proof of plasmid DNA integrating into normal cell genomes, indicating potential DNA damage. A German peer-reviewed study (Kämmerer et al.) also found high residual DNA, including SV40 promoter/enhancer sequences, in Comirnaty lots in Germany. Elijah also cites a 2022 study (Aldén et al.) showing Pfizer mRNA reverse-transcribed into DNA in liver cells and references a study (Jiang and Mei, 2021) linking vaccine-induced spike protein production to impaired DNA repair and potential cancer risk.
Suppressed German Intelligence Report on Wuhan Lab Leak
Adding another layer to these concerns is an earlier suppressed German intelligence report from the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND). According to a joint investigation by two German newspapers, the BND concluded in 2020, with a high degree of confidence (80 to 95%), that COVID-19 originated from a laboratory accident at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, not from a natural zoonotic event. This conclusion was based on a comprehensive analysis, including public records, data from the Wuhan lab, and a covert operation. Despite this assessment, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel seems to have buried the report, a decision continued by her successor, Olaf Scholz.
Growing distrust
Unsurprisingly people like Dr. Paul Offit, a vaccine patent owner and media-favourite from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, argues that DNA fragments cannot integrate into human DNA due to cellular barriers and degradation mechanisms, deeming such risks “virtually impossible”.
However, the public’s trust in political leadership and in pharmaceutical giants is eroding fast, especially as these two power spheres are proven again and again to have been secretely co-working. There is a growing call for accountability and transparency regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the devolopment of mRNA vaccines.
