“A few months ago, specifically on 19 July 2024, there was a global technology blackout that affected a number of companies and services. This outage was caused by a glitch in a software update from CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity company.”
This is the official version that doesn’t sit right with me. What I think happened was a dress rehearsal for a worldwide computer blackout.
I am a computer scientist and I work in the IT department of a multinational company, although I am not in the systems area, I was with them when the servers were up.
In the multiple updates that we received automatically in all electronic devices and especially in personal computers and computer servers, they included a layer of code whereby the system ‘supposedly crashed’ when, at start-up, it found a branded file at some specific point in the file system. This is what happened on 19 July 2024. When we started up the computers and, possibly coinciding with the date scheduled for the event, everything collapsed and large corporations that served critical systems and infrastructures stopped working.
In the end, everything was solved by typing in a sequence provided by Microsoft, in which we entered a file explorer, had to locate a file in a specific folder, deleted it and everything worked again.
This ‘trial’ must not have gone as expected and they decided to give instructions to all the technology departments of large companies and institutions to move their local servers to the cloud, which is nothing spiritual, but rather gigantic data centres with thousands of servers where all the control systems are located worldwide.
It is for this reason that in my company (with a presence in 24 countries) all corporate servers are being hastily migrated to google cloud, and I say hastily, as they are being migrated on working days, leaving centres without service for hours, a situation that has never happened before in all the years I have worked in this company.
I know they are also doing it in banking, health and government institutions.
What is the aim of this? To have total and absolute control over the technology, being able to generate energy blackouts (such as those suffered recently in some European countries, perhaps simply by turning off or leaving the servers of the electricity companies without external communications), simulate cyber-attacks, data theft and anything else that crosses their twisted minds.
The intention of this article is to alert as many people as possible so that, when technology blackouts occur again and we suffer their consequences, we do not panic or accept the deceptions they try to instil in us, knowing that behind all these actions is the intention to generate stress, fear and perhaps blame some ‘enemy country’ as responsible for the attack.
The Alarm Clock.
