Blood on her hands?

Why and how did Michéle Rivasi die suddenly and unexpected?

Thanks to her efforts, many secrets came to light, due to her the public prosecutor started investigating the secret text messages between Ursula von der Leyen and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla. The French Green Rivasi was the spearhead of the fight in the EU Parliament to have the text messages published (more on this: “The Pfizer-Leyen conspiracy “). On 29th Nov 2023, 70-year-old Rivasi died on the way to her office. According to official reports, the cause was a heart attack.

Several lawsuits are now pending in the EU and a criminal prosecution against Leyen personally has already been initiated. At first it was said that the text messages could not be found, then the ombudswoman demanded that they be handed over, but the parliament said that they should be kept secret. MEP Michéle Rivasi was at the forefront of the fight in the EU Parliament for the release of the Leyen-Pfizer text messages and for an end to the secrecy surrounding the deal, but died unexpectedly just before an announced press conference on the matter.

Three days before her death, on November 26, she once again spoke in detail about the Pfizer case. For some EU MPs, this case represents the “biggest corruption scandal in history.” Rivasi wrote on Sunday:

“The latest consequence of Ursula von der Leyen’s mega-contract for anti-Covid vaccines: Pfizer is suing Poland for payment of 60 million vaccine doses that the country ordered but never paid for ( TKP reported , ed.).

The 19-month-long battle between Pfizer and Warsaw could not have ended any other way. Poland is refusing to pay for vaccines that the country neither needs – the pandemic is over – nor has the finances to pay for, as it is hosting millions of Ukrainian refugees.

Nine other Eastern European countries joined Poland in criticising that the agreement did not include clauses allowing countries to cancel orders once the pandemic was over and demanding answers from the European Commission.

This surplus of vaccines and the billions of euros wasted on doses that expire in European warehouses are a direct result of #SMSgate, the scandal surrounding the mega-deal negotiated via text message between Pfizer and the President of the European Commission.

Since then, the European Commission has been secretly renegotiating the contract with Pfizer. However, Poland has not accepted the deal, refusing to buy vaccines it does not need until 2027 and paying 10 euros for each canceled dose.

The lack of transparency on the part of the European Commission and our governments must come to an end. We, the European taxpayers, have a right to know how many billions of euros we still have to pay to Pfizer and why. The ball has long been in the court of the European investigators.”
