Neurological damage from vaccines dates back over two centuries and includes paralysis, seizures and encephalopathy. Renaming conditions such as “mental retardation” to autism obscures the actual rates of harm and public understanding.
For over 200 years, vaccines – from smallpox vaccines to modern formulations – have caused serious, documented neurological damage, often masked by claims of public health necessity. A recent wave of criticism, triggered by vaccination policy reforms and resurfaced historical data, is uncovering a legacy of downplayed risks and unacknowledged suffering. As debates over vaccine safety intensify, how much hidden neurological damage has been buried under the rhetoric of “safety and efficacy”?
A legacy of hidden damage
The medical literature is full of reports of vaccine-related neurological disasters since the 19th century. TKP guest author Dr Gerd Reuther, MD, radiologist and medical historian, has uncovered much of this in articles. Early smallpox vaccines, lauded for containing outbreaks, also triggered encephalomyelitis and paralysis in infants, with mortality rates of up to 35% in some cases. In the mid-20th century, pertussis vaccines (DPT) came under criticism after studies in the Journal of the American Medical Association andPediatrics reported convulsions, mental retardation and deaths in healthy children.
In 1933, an infant died within minutes of receiving a pertussis vaccination, while reports from the 1950s in The Lancet reported more than 100 cases of myoclonic seizures in infants. A 1977 Scottish study found, as Midwestern Doctor reveals, that 160 DPT recipients suffered severe reactions, including mental deficits – yet the CDC excluded such data from its safety data at the time.
These findings were overshadowed by a doctrine of the “greater good”, as bacteriologist Sir Graham Wilson admitted in 1966: the risks of vaccines were concealed in order to maintain trust, even if disasters were repeated. This new “ethic” was summarised at the UN Biosphere Conference in 1968 – even then there was talk of “One Health” and that “Spaceship Earth” had to be protected. Fundamental rights and the health of individuals must of course take a back seat…..
Modern outbreaks of an old crisis
Today, the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Programme (VICP) in the USA – and here too – only compensates a fraction of the damage. In the first quarter of 2020, 57 million dollars were paid out, but critics argue that this is negligible compared to the number of unreported cases. Among the confirmed cases, encephalopathy – often relabelled as autism – dominates after vaccinations such as MMR.
A landmark 1993 study in the British Medical Journal found that children vaccinated against whooping cough were far more likely to have “educational, behavioural, neurological or physical dysfunction” decades after vaccination. Meanwhile, the Advisory Committee on Immunisation Practices (ACIP) is plagued by conflicts of interest; its recent restructuring under the leadership of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. offers a rare opportunity for greater transparency.
The invisible victims
Families who have been harmed by vaccines face systemic obstacles. The NVICP’s decisions favour manufacturers, who are exempt from liability under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986. Compensation is notoriously slow; many cases drag on for years, and countless victims never file a claim due to lack of knowledge or evidence.
The psychological consequences are immeasurable. An NBC documentary from the mid-1980s entitled “DPT: Vaccine Roulette” portrays children who have fallen into comas or suffered irreversible disabilities after pertussis vaccinations – but the mainstream media remains silent. Meanwhile, emerging pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2 and the associated vaccines are once again fuelling fears: Pfizer’s pre-market launch documents listed 1,200 possible side effects.
On the path to the truth or into further shadows?
The rebirth of the ACIP under the leadership of RFK Jr. offers a fragile hope of coming to terms with the dark history of vaccines. But the cycle of obfuscation continues. From encephalitis, from smallpox to “postencephalitic syndrome”, from whooping cough to today’s autism debates, the pattern remains: Harm, denial and delayed justice.
As public confidence wanes, calls for unbiased research, transparent databases and policies that prioritise individual health over corporate and institutional interests are growing louder. Without these measures, the neurological burden – a legacy of silence – will outlive us all.
It may be that this will succeed in the USA as long as Kennedy holds the post of Secretary of Health and Human Services. In the EU, we are a long way from this and other globalist organisations such as the WHO and UN are working hard to maintain global governance, as tested during the pandemic, and even extend it to all areas of life.
